Study: Louisiana Has Fewer Polling Places

A new study is reporting 126 fewer polling locations for voters across Louisiana now compared to 2012.

A national study was done by the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and looked at the closure of polling locations in states that previously required Department of Justice approval for major voting changes.

Since the requirement was lifted in 2013, nearly 66% of parishes in Louisiana have been impacted by the closure of polling sites.
