Sewerage And Water Board Fires Employee Over Racist Video Post

The New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board says it has fired an employee connected to a video showed online with racist content.

Officials announced yesterday the contract worker had been fired because of a video showing bananas locked in a cage that was left for African-American employees at the S&WB plant in Carrollton.

The Executive Director of S&WB said the utility does not condone racist actions or speech, and the person responsible for the video was no longer employed by them.
