Worker Trapped In Hard Rock Hotel Collapse Identified As Mexican National

US-HOTEL-CONSTRUCTION-ACCIDENT

Officials say they have confirmed the identity of one of the two construction workers trapped during the collapse of the Hard Rock Hotel on Saturday.

The New Orleans' Consul General of Mexico said yesterday that 63-year-old Jose Ponce Arreola was working on the top floor of the hotel when it came crashing down.

Three workers were inside the building at the time of the accident, and two of them have been confirmed dead, but it is unclear if Arreola is one of those who died.

Urban search and rescue crews recovered the body of Anthony Margette of Gretna, and have taken a fluid sample from a second victim with the hopes of identifying them through DNA.
