A visually impaired LSU student is speaking out about the campus' need for better disability accommodations.

Freshman Ryan Barnes told The Reveille he encounters improper Braille signs, along with unreliable note-takers every day.

Barnes claims to have walked into the woman's bathroom by mistake twice because the restrooms are not labeled in Braille.

The Reveille reports while the new buildings at LSU are in compliance with American Disabilities Act regulations, older buildings on campus are not.

Other issues Barnes and other visually impaired students are facing are issues with the textbooks online accessibility as he says the PDF versions are often out of date.
