Retail giant Walmart is recalling over 6,000 pounds of Great Value brand ready-to-eat sausage products over concerns of salmonella.
The company announced the recall over the weekend for products sold in southeast Louisiana with sell-by dates between October 24th and November 5th.
The recall specifically affects 24 oz. packages of Great Value Original Breakfast Turkey Sausage Patties, and Great Value Fully Cooked Original Pork Sausage Patties, as well as 35 oz. packages of Great Value Fully Cooked Original Pork Sausage Patties.
Customers are advised not to consume the product and instead return it to Walmart or the place of purchase for a full refund.
