SNAP Recipients May Apply For Food Replacement Benefits Due To TS Olga

SNAP recipients who lost food as a result of tropical storm Olga may be eligible for replacements.

The Louisiana DCFA says SNAP recipients must report their losses by Thursday, November 7th in order to be considered for replacements.

For any food lost due to power outages, the electricity must have been out for at least 24 consecutive hours.

In order to apply, a signed SNAP 38 form must be submitted to the DCFS office.
