Thousands of drivers are receiving speeding tickets in the mail for a stretch of Louisiana Avenue inaccurately marked as a school zone.
Tickets were issued between St. Charles and Claiborne where the speed limit is 35 miles per hour. However, on the citations it was marked as a school zone despite there being no school in the area.
The City of New Orleans has admitted to the mistake and said that if you received a citation in that area, it will either be voided or refunded.
