A recent study by Business.org places New Orleans towards the bottom list among best cities for female entrepreneurs.
The report compiled data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the Annual Survey of Entrepreneurs and the American Community Survey on the 50 largest metropolitan areas in the country.
It focused on things such as the percentage of female owned businesses, the difference in pay between women and men, and the unemployment rate for women in order to determine results.
New Orleans came in at 46th overall, despite having 23% of all businesses owned by females.
