Early voting in Louisiana is already reaching record numbers

Election officials say almost 90,000 votes were cast statewide Saturday, making it the single biggest day of early voting in the history of Louisiana.

Nearly 10,000 votes were cast in East Baton Rouge Parish alone.

Early voting continues until this Saturday, with Election Day scheduled on November 16.

You can find a list of early voting locations at the Secretary of State's website.

The biggest issue on the ballot statewide is the run-off for governor with New Orleans area voters looking locally at a $500 million bond issue, two tax proposals, and an amendment to create a Human Rights Commission.
