Officials are saying a power surge is to blame for the explosion at a Dow Chemical plant in Baton Rouge.
According to reports, while the plant systems were being restarted on Sunday, a tank at a glycol processing unit ruptured, creating an eruption that shook the city.
Company officials aren't sure what caused the tank to explode but are continuing the investigation.
Dow says it has been monitoring air quality since the explosion but haven't detected any contaminants.
No injuries were reported from the blast.
