New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell says she will have no choice but to cut city services unless property taxes are increased.

Cantrell spoke yesterday about the issue, saying the city needs to get away from using one-time money from federal sources to pay for day-to-day city government operations.

Cantrell has proposed a $722 million budget for next year, with nearly a quarter of that money coming from property taxes.

City Council is expected to hold a vote on the budget next week on November 21st.
