(New Orleans, LA) -- New Orleans police are releasing a person of interest they've been detaining after a mass shooting on Canal Street. Police Chief Shaun Ferguson told media outlets this morning the individual had no involvement in yesterday's shooting. Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a feud between multiple individuals not from the New Orleans area. They say the shooting does not appear to be connected to schools that participated in yesterday's Bayou Classic football game.

New Orleans officials are offering a ten-thousand-dollar reward for information that leads to an arrest of those responsible for a mass shooting on Canal Street. Police say among the five men and five women who were struck by gun fire just before 3:30 yesterday morning, one was 16-years-old; the others range in age from 21 to 36. At least two victims are in critical condition.
