Hotel Opens At National WWII Museum

The National WWII Museum is opening a $66 million lodging destination in New Orleans.

The Higgins Hotel New Orleans had its grand opening Friday which marked the debut of the upper-scale Curio Collection brand in the state of Louisiana.

The eight-story hotel is said to be an extension of the museum, which features Cafe Normandie, a grab and go coffee shop, a sit down restaurant, and 2 bars, one of which is actually a rooftop space.

Officials of the National WWII Museum decided to construct the hotel to accommodate plans for its increasing demand for conference room space.
