The city of New Orleans is preparing for the holiday season and the thousands of people who will pack the streets over the next couple weeks.
City officials held a news conference Monday outlining plans to make sure everyone is safe for the holidays.
Director of Homeland Security Collin Arnold says local state and federal agencies will be on hand, monitoring everything from the city's real time crime center.
The New Orleans Police Department is warning residents that they will be out patrolling for any suspicious activity and urge the public to say something if they see something.
