The mayor of Gretna says she has met with the local postmaster to address residents' complaints about undelivered mail.
Mayor Belinda Constant said yesterday that mail delivery in her city has been sporadic, leading to issues with customers being able to pay their utility bills.
Some residents say they have gone ten days since getting mail, and they are still waiting on Christmas cards and gifts.
The U.S. Postal Service released a statement saying they are working to ensure all deliveries are handled properly and are encouraging customers to contact them directly if they have not received their mail.
