The mother of the man who shot and killed a Walmart employee earlier this week says her son suffers from mental illness.
Kentrell Baham appeared in court yesterday on charges, including second-degree murder, as his mother told the judge he suffers from bipolar disorder and is schizophrenic.
Baham is accused of walking into the Walmart in Gentilly, where he fatally shot 28-year-old store manager London McKnight before being apprehended by an off-duty officer.
Lazonia Baham said she previously had her son admitted to hospitals, but he would always be released after a few days.
