Access To New Orleans Public Records Still Delayed After Cyber Attack

Cyber Attack A02

New Orleans City Hall is still recovering from a cyber attack in December.

Officials announced yesterday that public records will still be unavailable to access online for another few days or possibly longer.

Chief Information Officer Kimberly LaGrue said though there are still delays, the website has gone from "visibility to functionality," meaning people can once again pay property taxes and report blight or potholes online.

The city has spent $1.5 million to restore its systems since the attack, and it expects to spend $500,000 more on cyber security efforts this year.
