New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell says she disagrees that the developers of the Hard Rock Hotel are not to blame for October's fatal collapse.
Cantrell spoke yesterday in the wake of statements from the developer's attorney that 1031 Canal are not the builders, contractors, or the engineers but rather are the site owners who are fulfilling their responsibilities.
Cantrell says the sole responsibility of the project and its construction is with the developers, and they cannot distance themselves from the liability associated with it.
