Police are on the hunt for a man they say stole a St. Charles Parish Sheriff deputy's marked SUV.
Detectives say officers were in the middle of apprehending a drug addict yesterday at the Pilot Gas Station on Airline Highway around 5 a.m., when another unidentified suspect stole the vehicle.
Officials said security camera video shows the driver ditching the car and wiping away his finger prints in the 700 block of Toledano nearly an hour later, before he took off toward Tchoupitoulas Street.
According to the sheriff's office, all of the deputy's weapons are accounted for and there was nothing missing in his vehicle.
