Iconic Circle Food Store To Re-Open

The iconic Circle Food Store is re-opening after businessman Sidney Torres paid nearly $2 million for the building at an Orleans Parish sheriff's auction last April.

Torres announced yesterday that he and his family are bringing back the old staple to the community after it closed down in 2018 due to financial problems.

The new Circle Food Store will include a pharmacy, a food hall for sandwiches and other hot plates, an ice cream shop and butcher as well.

Torres says they are aiming to have the store re-opened within the month.
