The city of Gretna will honor the memory of a local television journalist who was killed last summer in a plane crash.
On Monday, the city will unveil Nancy Parker Memorial Way at the corner of Michelle Court and Marlene Drive in the Timberlane area.
The 53-year-old Parker was covering a story in a stunt plane last August when it crashed in New Orleans East, killing her and the pilot.
Before her death, Parker had worked as a news anchor in New Orleans for over two decades and won five regional Emmy Awards for her reporting.
