Public schools throughout the city are staying in close contact with the state and other health officials as they continue to monitor the coronavirus.
During a conference call with school leaders Tuesday, NOLA-PS discussed way to prevent the spread of viruses as well as ways they can plan for and manage any impacts the coronavirus may have on schools.
In the call, NOLA-PS reminded schools to review practices for limiting the spread of viruses and asked that schools limit any unnecessary travel especially to international locations.
The district has also established a website for residents that will act as a resource to learn about, prevent, and confront any cases of coronavirus.
