The Louisiana Department of Health is now requiring that all licensed healthcare facilities restrict visitors.
According to a press release from the department, only people essential to the care and well-being of patients are allowed to visit healthcare facilities amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Visitors allowed into each facility will be determined by those facilities after consultation with families and responsible parties.
Officials say the restrictions will last until April 10th, unless otherwise extended.
