A statewide network is being launched to answer questions from the public regarding COVID-19.
Officials say anyone looking for information regarding the coronavirus can dial 211 or text the keyword LACOVID to 898211 for the most current information about the outbreak.
Legislators said the call network was created to deal with the overwhelming number of calls that have flooded the Louisiana Department of Health's general information line.
