The Louisiana Department of Health said Tuesday afternoon that the total number of coronavirus in Louisiana had grown to almost 200.
196 is where the tally sat as of the latest update, with East Baton Rouge Parish joining the list with one confirmed case. Orleans Parish now has 136 cases and four deaths from COVID-19.
Jefferson Parish remains second on the list with 35.
State health officials are now revealing a breakdown of cases by age group. 45 cases have struck those between the ages of 50 and 59, 44 cases for those between 40-49, and 40 cases for those 70 and up.
Those between 60 and 69 years old make up 35 cases, 22 have struck those between 30 and 39, and 10 of the cases involve those between 18 and 29.
The state lab says they have completed 531 tests. LDH notes that number does not include commercial testing.
The coronavirus has now been confirmed in 13 of the state's 64 parishes.
