Louisiana officials are saying that practicing social distance is critical as more COVID-19 testing is taking place.
Medical Director for Emergency Preparedness for the Health Department Dr. Frank Welch says testing is ramping up in the state as commercial labs and hospitals are processing tests.
Both the sick and healthy must stay indoors and treat it as if they're already contagious to limit the spread.
The expansion of testing now includes detecting COVID-19 in people with less severe symptoms as opposed to the beginning of the outbreak when only severe cases were tested.
