The majority of New Orleans EMS employees have been exposed to the COVID-19 coronavirus.
Meanwhile, 28 employees are isolated at home after displaying symptoms even though no city EMS employees are confirmed to have the virus.
However, many test results have yet to come back.
New Orleans EMS added that Orleans Parish will begin receiving surge ambulances as the state of Louisiana sends those vehicles to areas battling the virus.
