The stay-at-home order for Louisiana will possibly be extended past April 13th as the number of known coronavirus cases and deaths continue to increase.
In a press conference, Governor John Bel Edwards announced that the current order "may well have to be extended" to the end of April.
The original mandate ordered residents to stay home until April 13th except for essential trips, including grocery shopping.
As of Sunday, there are over 3,500 known coronavirus cases in Louisiana.
