LSU is extending the suspension of face-to-face instruction to the beginning of the fall semester.

University officials announced Wednesday that classes would be held online for the duration of the spring intersession, summer session, and summer intersession.

The decision was made to give faculty a chance to plan lessons and allow students to choose the types of courses they want to take before scheduling closes.

The call to suspend lectures and classroom interactions is also being done as a continuing preventative step against the spread of COVID-19.
