The Pelican State is creating a commission looking at re-opening the economy during the coronavirus pandemic.

Governor John Bel Edwards says the Resilient Louisiana commission is an important step towards putting together a game plan to make sure the state is more prepared.

The commission will also look at solutions for Energy and Manufacturing, Health Care, Rural Development, and the training needs of workers.

Lieutenant Governor Bill Nungesser and co-chair Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Don Pierson and healthcare leader Terrie Sterling will run the commission.
