Decrease In Louisiana COVID-19 Patients Needing Ventilators

Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards says there is a decrease in coronavirus patients needing ventilators, signaling promising progress.

The state has a total of 25,258 confirmed COVID-19 patients and 1,473 related deaths.

Over 400 new cases across the state were reported today.

White House coronavirus task force officials say the surge in the New Orleans is significantly improving.

Mayor LaToya Cantrell is extending the city's stay-at-home order until the middle of May to continue flattening the curve.
