Emergency Voting Plan Passes Louisiana House, Senate Committees

Louisiana Senate and House committees are approving an emergency voting plan in response to COVID-19.

It's the second attempt for Louisiana Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin to expand mail-in-ballots for the July and August elections.

It was previously struck down after Republicans said it would lead to an increase of voter fraud. President Trump echoes similar sentiments.

Ardoin's measure now heads to full House and Senate votes.
