New Orleans Public Schools is spending millions of dollars amid the coronavirus pandemic.
At a committee meeting this week, it was announced the school system has spent over $4 million since shutting schools down in March.
It's close to depleting the $5 million coronavirus emergency fund as revenue tanks by 70%.
School officials say it could take years to recover from the financial crisis, causing a direct impact on children's education.
