Contractors hired to bring down the remains of the partially collapsed Hard Rock Hotel say they could begin the process very soon.
Two structural engineers working on the project testified at a civil court hearing on Thursday about their traditional method of demolition, which would be safer than options previously discussed.
The engineers said they could start the delicate process of removing two bodies still trapped in the debris in 30 days before demolishing portions in mid-July.
Jeremy Frye of Marschel Wrecking testified the demolition would happen over four phases that, if approved, could begin as early as next week.
