The city of New Orleans is looking at approving a proposed $8.4 million demolition plan for the Hard Rock Hotel.

The plan was submitted yesterday and would start with the complicated process of respectfully extracting the bodies of two workers killed in the collapse, who remain trapped under the rubble.

Officials say it could still take up to a month before the city can issue the permits needed to start recovering the worker's remains.

Estimates now put the full demolition of the hotel happening in October, close to the first anniversary of the tragedy.
