Governor John Bel Edwards is reminding parish leaders they do not have the authority to lift the state's Stay-At-Home orders.
Edwards spoke yesterday after officials in East Feliciana and West Feliciana parishes announced plans to re-open before the state's orders had expired.
Edwards said parishes and mayors are allowed to place more restrictions than recommended in place, but they cannot overrule a directive from the state government.
Louisiana's stay-at-home order is not set to expire until May 15th.
