The process of bringing down three buildings around the partially collapsed Hard Rock Hotel is set to begin today after being delayed due to weather.
Engineers had hoped to start demolishing the first of three structures around the hotel on Thursday, but rain pushed the work back a day.
Other reports said guests staying at a hostel were still in the area and had to be moved before the work could start.
Before crews can bring down the rest of the hotel, the old post office on Iberville Street and two buildings on Canal Street need be removed first.
