Louisiana is moving into Phase One of reopening today.
Gov. John Bel Edwards said locations including churches, restaurants, cafes, movie theaters, fitness centers, salons, casinos and bars with a Louisiana Department of Health food permit will be allowed to open up today with a limit of 25% of their normal capacity.
The Pelican State has remained one of the hardest hit states for the duration of the coronavirus crisis.
As of Thursday, LDH reported that the state has over 33,000 positive cases of COVID-19 and over 2,300 have died.
