A 55-year-old Harvey man is behind bars after he stabbed his sister in the chest.
Officials say Malcolm Hawkins was arrested yesterday after an argument over cooking grits turned violent.
According to reports, Hawkins and his 57-year-old sister were arguing over grits in the 1100 block of Aberdeen Drive when he stabbed her in the chest.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and is said to be in critical condition.
Hawkins has been booked with aggravated battery.
