The captain of New Orleans' largest Carnival parading organization is issuing an apology following an "All Lives Matter" post.
On Monday, Julie Lea released a statement saying that she was unaware that the use of that hashtag in posts would be divisive.
According to reports, Lea posted a photo on both her personal Instagram account and on Nyx social media of a black child caressing the face of a white child under the slogan "#ALLLIVESMATTER Our Souls Are the Same Color."
Social media users were quick to criticize Lea's posts, with some vowing to boycott the parade.
