Louisiana State University's plan to enter Phase Three of the state-wide reopening is being put on hold.

The university posted a release to its website on Monday saying that they will not proceed to Phase Three due to an increase in cases of COVID-19.

According to the statement, LSU will remain in Phase Two of reopening until further notice.

The news comes after Governor John Bel Edwards announced that Louisiana would remain in Phase Two for at least another 28 days.
