The New Orleans RTA says it will require operators and riders to wear masks while using public transit.
RTA officials made the announcement yesterday, saying everyone using pubic transportation must wear a mask at all times.
Operators will have the option to deny service to riders who refuse to wear a mask.
The RTA says they have around 20,000 masks to distribute to passengers who don't have one.
