The Louisiana Department of Health reported an additional 845 cases of COVID-19 Monday, bringing the statewide total to 57,081 since the beginning of the pandemic.
State health officials said 96% of the latest cases came from community spread and that the statewide positivity rate had risen to 9.9%. The federal benchmark is 10%.
LDH added that, as of Sunday, 42,225 are presumed recovered from the coronavirus.
737 are hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Louisiana, with 79 of those on ventilators.
The death toll stands at 3,091.
