A organization called Take 'Em Down NOLA says city leaders have until Tuesday to meet their demands to remove Confederate monuments.
Protesters with Take 'Em Down NOLA gathered over the weekend in Lafayette Square, saying elected officials are taking too long by discussing the removal of monuments in committee.
The group says it has four demands, including releasing a timeline for removal, allowing public input on their replacements, expanding the definition to include all monuments to white supremacy, and defunding the police.
