New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell is threatening to shut down businesses she calls bad actors if they don't follow COVID-19 guidelines.
Cantrell spoke on Monday about some national chain stores like Walmart in New Orleans East, who are not adhering to social distancing and mask-wearing protocols.
The mayor said she has reached out to company management, who has assured her changes will be made to bring the stores into compliance.
Cantrell said she is meeting with health officials, and there may be more restrictions put in place later this week.
