The City of New Orleans says crews are expected to begin a recovery mission to remove the bodies of two workers at the Hard Rock Hotel this month.
Officials said yesterday that they are hoping to begin the process of respectfully recovering the bodies on July 13th.
Engineers said it could take up to five-days to remove the remains of Quinnyon Wimberly and Jose Ponce Arreola, who died when the hotel collapsed on October 12th, 2019.
City spokesman Michael Tidwell said the demolition of the hotel is on schedule and all red zone buildings have been removed.
