Officials say they are looking into the discovery of a suspicious package that forced the evacuation of a Walmart in Harahan.
According to reports, the package was found on Thursday at the Walmart on Jefferson Highway, and Jefferson Parish Sheriff's deputies cleared people from the building out of an abundance of caution.
JPSO Public Information Officer Jason Rivarde said it is unclear at this time what was in the package, and the department is still investigating.
