An iconic New Orleans restaurant is announcing it's permanent closure due to the coronavirus pandemic.

K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen said today they will be closing after many successful years.

The restaurant was established in 1979 by Chef Paul Prudhomme and his wife Kay Hinrichs Prudhomme. The restaurant began as a 62-seat establishment and grew to have the capacity of 200 people.

The name will not be a part of any sale and its brand and custom blends for clients will continue as a separate business.
