Mandeville Mayor's Race Heads To Runoff Between Laure Sica and Clay Madden

Voters in Jean Lafitte are keeping Tim Kerner, Jr. as their mayor after overwhelmingly electing him to his own term last night.

Kerner, Jr. had been serving as mayor since 2019 when his father left the post to become the representative for Louisiana's 84th District.

Meanwhile, the mayor's race in Mandeville is heading to a runoff after neither candidate was able to receive a majority of votes.

In the runoffs set for August 15, Laure Sica, who had 32% of the vote, will face Clay Madden, who had 29%.
