The state has launched the website where eligible front-line workers can apply for one-time hazard pay.
Officials say cashiers, bus drivers, law enforcement, health care workers and more can receive a $250 check for performing essential activities for at least 200 hours outside their home.
The money will be awarded to applicants on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 200,000 people who apply and meet the criteria.
The website frontlineworkers.la.gov will begin taking applications tomorrow.
